Non-Executive Chairman and co-founder of Dunedin, Mark has a wealth of strategic business experience which has assisted Dunedin Independent to build its solid reputation for offering proactive and innovative professional advice to both private and corporate clients.

Graham Barnet
Graham Barnet - Non Executive Director
Non Executive Director, Graham is a highly experienced corporate financier. A qualified lawyer, he worked with Shepherd & Wedderburn and Noble Grossart before setting up Merchant Investments Ltd in 1994, a company specialising in the management of businesses in both the traditional and technology sectors.
Yuill Irvine
Yuill Irvine - Managing Director
As Managing Director of Dunedin, Yuill has overall responsibility for delivering the strategic and operational objectives of the Company, bringing to the role his core skills of business planning and focused operational development. A regular commentator in the press and media Yuill sits on Industry committees and panels where his in-depth knowledge and experience are regularly called upon.
Gary Salmond
Gary Salmond - Director (Financial Planning)
Gary is an experienced financial adviser and joined Dunedin in 1999. He is responsible for the development and operation of financial planning within Dunedin. With over 20 years industry experience with some of the country's largest financial institutions, Gary brings a wealth of specialist knowledge in the areas of pensions and investments where holds the recognised industry qualification, the Diploma in Financial Planning
Raymond Milne
Raymond Milne - Director (Partnership)
Entering financial services in 1983 Raymond has worked with 3 major financial services companies. He was recruited to Dunedin in 2004 to help develop the Dunedin Independent Partnership. Raymond also fulfils both a sales management and regulatory function for the firm.
Keith Lodge
Keith Lodge- Associate Director
Keith joined Dunedin in October 2000 as a senior advisor. He specialises in the area of wealth preservation, in particular, investment, pension and inheritance tax planning. Keith has been in the financial services industry for over 20 years and throughout this period has developed long term working relationships with clients and professional introducers. Keith's client base continues to expand primarily by personal introductions and client referrals.
Kathryn Tomlinson
Kathryn Tomlinson - Senior Consultant
Kathryn joined Dunedin in 1999. She had previously worked with a major UK Financial Services Company as an adviser for several years. Prior to joining, she obtained her Financial Planning Certificate and the G60 Pensions qualification under the Advanced Financial Planning Certificate. She advises clients on all aspects of Corporate Benefits including Group Pensions, Group Risk, Private Medical Insurance and Key Person/Shareholder Protection Cover.
Barry McKenzie
Barry McKenzie - Senior Consultant
Barry gained his Financial Planning Certificates whilst working with one of the UK's largest financial services companies. Over ten years he amassed a wealth of experience within financial services working with several insurance companies and major Bank and Building Societies. Barry has an enviable understanding of financial planning with his main areas of expertise being those of inheritance tax and retirement planning.
Neil Wheelan - Senior Consultant
Working closley with Kathryn Tomlinson, Neil provides advice to our Corporate Employee Benefits clients. Having started his career with Dunedin Independent, Neil broadened his knowledge and experience during a 5 year stint with another IFA. Using his extensive knowledge of the Corporate Employee Benefits market, Neil provides advice on Pensions, Death in Service benefits, Permenant Health and Medical Insurance. Keyman insurance and Shareholder Protection are two areas where clients have found Neil's advice particularily helpful.
Kris Banks
Kris Banks - Financial Consultant
During 2006, Kris joined Dunedin Independent as a graduate trainee. He gained valuable experience in his initial role as a para planning assistant and further developed his knowledge and experience by successfully completing the Certificate of Financial Planning. Subsequently, Kris was appointed as a financial consultant and works closely with the senior advisers at Dunedin. He continues to develop his knowledge and skills whilst growing strong relationships with both existing and new clients.
Alex Williams
Alex Williams- Associate Partner
Alex joined Dunedin in 2003 having previously built his reputation for client service within a small local IFA business. Such was his success that clients followed him to Dunedin where Alex continues to provide financial advice in all key areas. His specialism lies in the area of pensions and investments.
John Yuille
John Yuille- Associate Partner
John joined Dunedin in 2004 having previously been a Director at a large regional IFA firm in Glasgow. With extensive experience in all areas of financial planning John has developed close working relationships with clients through a commitment to total client service. He specialises in investment and retirement planning.
Julie Hewitson
Julie Hewitson- Associate Partner
Julie joined Dunedin in 1997 having previously operated within the financial services division of one of the UK's largest accountancy firms. Julie specialises in financial planning for women and has extensive experience in the areas of self invested pensions and personal and trust investment.
Gavin Caulder
Gavin Calder- Associate Partner
Gavin was invited to join Dunedin in 2005 coming from one of the worlds largest financial services companies. He has helped develop Dunedin's series of client-focussed seminars and his client base is expanding rapidly. He has extensive contacts both in the Borders and Shetland where he splits his time thus ensuring all his clients financial planning needs are met. He has a wealth experience across the board but finds inheritance tax, investment and pension planning are where his clients' needs are most commonly found.
Colin McGugan
Colin McGugan- Associate Partner
Colin joined Dunedin in February 2007. He specialises in the area of wealth preservation, in particular, investment, pension, protection and Inheritance Tax planning.
He has been in the financial services industry for over 10 years and throughout this period has developed long term working relationships with clients and professional introducers. Colin's client base continues to expand primarily by personal introductions and client referrals.
Willie Ewan
Willie Ewan- Associate Partner
Having joined Dunedin in 2008 Willie previously operated within one of the UK's largest banking structures for over 28 years. Moving to become an IFA in 2002 he prides himself on having a network of clients throughout Scotland where he professionally manages every aspect of their financial requirements.
Lee Nadalutti- Associate Partner
Lee Nadalutti spends his time ensuring his clients get the best possible service. Helping those who are approching retirement he is able to offer thoughtful and innovative solutions to the problems arising from volatile economic conditions. Lee is able to offer a comprehensive IFA service and leaves no stone unturned in searching for the best strategies and plans for his clients future wealth.
Alastair Gibson - Associate Partner
After several years of working with a small IFA and more recently with a well known Scottish bank, Alastair has a wealth of financial services experience across many sectors. His invitation to join the Partnership in 2009 sees him reach the pinnacle of his career in Financial Services. Alastairs provides sound, easily understood advice across all areas of personal financial planning but many clients find his Pension and Small Business advice second to none.
Bernard Hughes- Mortgage Adviser
Bernie has returned to Dunedin Independent after a gap of 6 years where his experience and knowledge of the Edinburgh property and mortgage market are now unbeatable. Bernie provides a comprehensive mortgage and remortgage service to all Dunedin's clients and is able to arrange finance for both private and commercial purposes.
